What a Busy Week (or two)!

Members have just returned from the club's autumn holiday to Yarrawonga. What a wonderful week they had. The weather was perfect, the food lovely and the organisers took them to some fantastic attractions. Members even took part in an historical re-enactment; it was such fun.

Everybody had a great time.

Preparations are in hand for the club's spring holiday. Watch this space.

Explore Wollongong

The next walk will take place on 2nd May when the group will Explore Historic Wollongong.

Catch the 10:20am train at Dapto station (second carriage upstairs) to North Wollongong. The group's leader, Jim, will meet everyone at North Wollongong and explain some of the places the group will visit.

Bring a packed lunch or buy fish and chips in Belmore Basin, the choice is yours. After the success of the Kiama walk this is something not to miss. See you there.

Our New Computer

Thanks to the federal government's Broadband for Seniors initiative our Computer Kiosk has just received a brand new Windows 8 Touch Screen computer.

It adds greatly to our ability to teach our members how to use a computer and explore the Internet. As you can see the new computer dwarf's the original NEC computers supplied several years ago but none the less they still provide a lot of good information and have been recently updated with a lot more software.

Even better if you have your own laptop you can bring it along and learn on that.

Annual Picnic

The club's annual picnic was held on the 30th March ant Integral Energy Park just outside Dapto. There was a terrific turn out of members to this event who enjoyed a chicken dinner, quizzes, lots of friendly company and afterwards were able to demonstrate their athletic skills with a game of Boules and throwing the rolling pin.

A great time was had by all and judging by the happy faces everybody will be back next year for the next social outing.

The winner of one of the competitions is presented with her prize by the club's President.
